The Uganda national Beach Soccer team, the Sand Cranes are just a win away from the 2021 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup that will take place in Russia after they progressed to the semi-finals of the tournament with a win against Tanzania.
The debutants booked a ticket to the semi-finals of the beach soccer AFCON that are taking place in Senegal thanks to the hosts’ 3-1 win over Tanzania in group A.
The Teranga lions topped group A while Uganda came second having beaten Tanzania in their second fixture of the tournament making it to the semi final as the second best team in the pool.
Sand cranes head coach Salim Muwonge said his team is ready to face Mozambique on Friday and will only be counting on winning the game.
