Uganda Premier League leaders Express FC’s head coach is not satisfied with the selection of players called up to the Uganda Cranes’ 34-man squad for the forthcoming friendly match against South Africa.
Defenders Murushid Jjuuko and Enock Walusimbi together with star striker Eric Kambale were the three players summoned from Express who are currently leading the Uganda Premier League table with four games to go.
Bbosa believes the technical team of the national team would have summoned more than three players from his club since many of his players have enjoyed a fine form this season m
” It’s good for our team that we have players summoned on the national team but they should have been more than that because very many players here have performed very well,
Bbosa said in a post-match interview after the goalless draw with KCCA.
” If it’s the national team and you are summoning good performers like previously you would see seven or eight players summoned from KCCA then we should have seen more than six or seven players from this Express team.”
” But they only summoned three players and I’m not happy with it because we have more players who have performed very well in the league.”
Express is pushing to win their first-ever league title since 2012 as well their 11th Stanbic Uganda Cup.
The Red Eagles will face KCCA in the second leg of the Stanbic Uganda Cup quarter-finals on June 4th at the MTN Omondi Stadium.
Uganda under the tutelage of Abdallah Mubiru and Charles Livingstone Mbabazi will face South Africa’s Bafana Bafana on 10th June at the Orlando Stadium.
